Wellington ICT Associate Trustees
Wellington ICT also has Associate Trustees who provide specialist expertise the Trust needs. Associate Trustees contribute to discusions on governance matters and often will particpate in the management of a project.

Stephen Blyth
Stephen Blyth is a self-employed advisor working with government agencies and community organisations. He specialises in capacity building projects, focusing on ICT. Prior to becoming self-employed Stephen worked for 15 years in paid and unpaid roles within community organisations and government. This has included management and advisory roles with the Ministry of Social Development, Department of Internal Affairs, Families Commission and Environment and Conservation Organisations of New Zealand. Carol Stigley
Carol became a Trustee to support the work undertaken by Wellington 2020 and help extend its reach in the Wellington region. Carol retains a direct interest as an Associate Trustee and mentor on business strategies and Community ICT directions.
Carol’s background is in management and strategic leadership in the public and related sectors, and has considerable experience in working at board and governance levels. She works as a professional company director and undertakes contract work at the management level. Previously Carol ran the Consumer Affairs Ministry for six years, and was the Chief Executive of Local Government New Zealand, the collective policy advocacy body for all councils in the country. Carol is a registered Justice of the Peace and member of the JP Association’s Executive Committee.
Carol’s considerable management skills and business experience have enabled Wellington 2020 to develop and maintain a leading role in growing the ICT connectedness, and developing the social capital of the many and diverse communities that make up the Wellington region.
Douglas Harre
Douglas brings to Wellington 2020 an extensive background in education, and a particular interest in the use of IT. He joined Wellington 2020 as an Associate Trustee with the aim of employing his education-related expertise and experience to help with Community ICT education roles.
Douglas is currently employed as a senior IT consultant in the Ministry of education. He has produced and presented a number of papers and reports on IT in education.
Barbara Crump
Barbara is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management, Massey University, Wellington, teaching on the Information Systems major. Her overseas experiences include living and working at Khon Kaen University, Thailand in the early 1970s, being a full-time mother for four years in London and, more recently taking up a research scholarship at the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 2004.
Her major research interests include women in the tertiary learning computing environment and those working in the industry and issues around the digital divide. She has a Doctor of Science Education from Curtin University of Technology, Perth and holds Graduate Diploma Information Systems and Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University, Wellington.
